X forwarding 不調

以前はそうではなかったのですが，わりと最近おかしくなりました。
ssh -X で，
Warning: untrusted X11 forwarding setup failed: xauth key data not generated
Warning: No xauth data; using fake authentication data for X11 forwarding.
という警告がまず出て，その後ログインは出来るのですが，X clientを立ち上げると
X11 connection rejected because of wrong authentication.
X connection to localhost:12.0 broken (explicit kill or server shutdown).
となり失敗します。試した限り，相手の接続サーバーに依らず起きるようです。
今別の場所にあるので詳細を確認できませんが，G4 Cube の最新Tigerのはずです。
同じサーバーにLeopardマシンで試みると問題なくX forwarding 出来ます。
ssh -V は，
OpenSSH_4.7p1, OpenSSL 0.9.7l 28 Sep 2006
を返します。
一応，$HOMEの.Xauthority および，.ssh/known_hostsは一度破棄して新たに作り直しましたが，
同じ結果です。
