使わなくなったMacBookProにOSX Servefを入れてVPNサーバーとして使用を企てています。LAN内でのテストではクライアントからL2TP接続に成功しました。
インターネットからの接続にはルーターのポート設定が必要なところまではわかりましたが、どのポートをVPNサーバーマシンに接続したらいいのか 色々調べてもわかりません。試行錯誤を繰り返しましたが、外部からサーバーまでたどり着けていない状況です。
そこで偉い人に教えていただきたいのは
１）そもそも私のルーターBuffalo WZR-G144NHはこのような用途に必要な機能を持っているか （一応、VPNマルチパススルー(PPTP / IPSec)となっています）
２）上記のルーターで何とかなるとして、ルーターのどのポートをサーバーに接続するか
ということです。
どうかよろしくお願いします。

VPN関連はUDP500、UDP1701、TCP1723、UDP4500あたりでしょうか。
IPsecパススルーにしてL2TP over IPsecでいけるんじゃないかな？

ご教示いただいたポートをアドレス変換の対象とし、IPSecパススルーをonにしましたが、やはりvpn接続がタイムアウトしてしまいます。
ためしにポート番号80番にアクセスしてみるとwebサービスには接続できるのでやはりポート解放の問題かと思われますが。
YAMAHAのVPNルーターはそもそも自宅のeo光に接続されないし（これも原因不明）
自宅サーバーの実現は遠そうです。

OSXサーバのシステムログにL2TP関連のログは何か残っていませんか？ 残っていればサーバ設定に、残っていなければルータ側に問題があります。

これって最初に送ったIPSecがサーバーに届いていないって言うことですか？

L2TPではどうしてもだめみたいなのでPPTPでトライしてみました
結果はやはりだめでしたがL２TPよりは少し希望が持て
