メール添付ファイルが常にインラインプレビューされてしまう

OSX 標準のメールソフトで PDFやJPEG等の画像系添付ファイルのインラインプレビューを抑止して常にアイコン表示したいため、

WEBで「osx メール添付ファイル プレビュー」などで検索すると紹介されている定番的？な手法を試しましたが、いっこうに機能しません。

解決策をお持ちの方いらっしゃいますか。

■１．WEBサイトで多く示唆されている設定をターミナル上で実施

■２．この後、Finder、Mail を再起動し、メール添付確認するも、相変わらず常にインラインプレビュー状態である。

■３．ダメもとでホームディレクトリ内の Mail.app 用の plist ファイルを全て消して Mail.app を再起動して試して見るも変わらず。

▼対象がわからないので面倒なのでバックアップ取得後、全削除実施。

▼plist ファイル13個を全部削除。

▼削除されたことを確認。

▼DisableInlineAttachmentViewing パラメータを一端削除。

% defaults delete com.apple.mail DisableInlineAttachmentViewing

▼ 続けて■１．の作業をもう一度実施し再設定を行う。

■４．再度メールソフトを再起動して試してみるが、結果は見事に裏切られ、相変わらずインラインプレビューしたままです。

【おたずねしたいこと、知りたいこと】

・ひょっとして上記の設定手法は、Mavericks OSX 10.9.5 は未対応ですか？

・それとも、DisableInlineAttachmentViewing = 1 の boolean の他に更に設定入れないとならないパラメータでもありますか？
