ゴミ箱に削除済みのアカウントに関連するファイルが残る/cannot clear contents regarding existed users off /.Trash

以前別のMacbookを家族で使っていて、ある時から自分専用のものになったので自分以外のアカウントを消して使うようになったのですが、ゴミ箱に消したユーザーの名前のフォルダが残ってしまい、いくら「ゴミ箱を空に」しても項目が使用中で削除できません。冒頭で「別の」と言ったのは、今は新しく買ったmacbookに移行したからなんですが、アカウントを移行したところそのゴミ箱に残ってしまっていたフォルダまでくっついてきてしまい、今でも削除できません。

そのフォルダの中にはLibrary,そしてその中にはもう何層かあってcom.apple.mailやDataといったフォルダが入っているようです。ターミナルのsudoも使ってみましたがだめでした。

I used to share a Macbook with my family and one day it became my own so I deleted the other users' account, but in the Trash a folder whose name is my mother's username remained and I just cannot clear that folder off the Trash. Even though I moved my account to new Mac book, which I'm now using, that folder also moved in. I'm still struggling to get rid of that ghost folder somehow.

Inside that folder is Library and inside Library there seem to be some more layers of directory such as com.apple.mail and Data.

Sudo command didn't work.
