to input key words in Japanese on MAC

I've bought a new MacBookAir (Sequoia) recently and now I have a trouble with the input word in Japanese. It seems that my brand-new Mac has no Japanese source inside. Please tell me how to get Japanese inpu source! I'm rather good at Japanese, not English!
