message size violation

OSX 10.11.5 、アップルのメールアプリを使用しています。

me.com のアドレス宛に、特定の Numbers ファイルを添付して送信するとエラーメッセージ(message size violation)のメールが返ってきます。

ファイルサイズは600KBです。

送信元は複数あり、会社で使用のドメイン（サーバーはheteml）、DTI、gmail の別なアドレスから送っても同じエラーが返ってきます。

”Remote host said: 554 5.7.0 Message Size Violation”

apple に問い合わせると apple 内は問題ないというのですが、本当にapple側の問題ではないのでしょうか。

DTI からは apple に問い合わせよと言われました。

英語のフォーラムにも同じような件が上がっていましたが、特に解決した形跡はなさそうでした。。。
